Carl C. Whittington

Carl Charles Whittington, age 79, passed away on Saturday July 29, 2017. Carl was born on September 27, 1937 in Hilliard, OH. He was retired from the City of Columbus. Carl proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Cora (Jewett) Whittington; sisters Erma, Bonnie, and Martha; brother Glenn.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; children Joseph, Angie, and Theodore (Amanda) Whittington; grandchildren Sara, Joey, Samantha, Natalie, Bethany, and Abby; brother Kenny (Linda) Whittington; dear friend Phyllis Scott; as well as extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, from 5pm-7pm. A Mass will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at St. Stephen's the Martyr Catholic Church, 4131 Clime Rd., Columbus, at 10am. Burial to follow at Grove City Cemetery, new section.
