Carla Evans, age 59, born on January 13, 1958 in Columbus, OH, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 surrounded by family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
She will always be remembered as a fighter and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and aunt.
Surviving family includes children, Ivan "Rusty" (Michelle) Smith, Lisa (Lonnie Deese) Evans; grandchildren, Ivan Jr. (Iraida Castro), Courtney (Deion Battles), Alyssa and Ian; great-grandson, Ivan III; siblings, Deborah (Ken) Ware, Ricky Young, Gregg (Beth) Young and Kae (Dave) Spencer; aunt, Almeda Chester; significant other, Mark Fluhart; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by parents Ivan and Joan Young-Keller.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at Newcomer Columbus, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, where funeral services will be held immediately following visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
