Carol Teresa Arns

Carol Teresa Arns (Sulecki), 90, of Columbus, OH passed away June 21, 2025. She was born March 16, 1935, in Buffalo, New York to the late Charles C and Gabrielle M Sulecki. She is survived by her children; Susan, Thomas (Eleanor Griscom), and Paul (Marcia) Arns; her grandchildren Justin and Jesse Burkett, Ethan (Dean) Messinger-Arns, Christopher Arns, Kaitlyn and Lindsey Arns; and her great grandchildren, Miles and Leona Burkett. She is pre-deceased by her brother John and his wife Mary Lou Sulecki.

Carol was a graduate of Rosary Hill College, now Daemon University, where she studied biology. She loved animals of all kinds, but especially her cats. Her passion for animals led her to volunteer as a Docent at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for over 25 years, spending much of her time with the animals in the North American section of the zoo. Her children fondly remember her creativity, which resulted in elaborate Halloween costumes, unusual stuffed animals, and many beautiful Christmas cookies each year. Carol was an avid reader and knowledgeable amateur historian. She had a big smile and loved to laugh.

The family would like to extend thanks to Danbury Senior Living where she received exemplary care for the last several years of her life.

Funeral Mass will be held in Buffalo, New York on August 2, 2025, 9am at St Stanislaus B&M Roman Catholic Church. Inurnment to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
