GRAY

Carol Jean Gray, 89, passed away July 18, 2026. She was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Maxwell Gray; parents, Halford and Mildred Hayes; and grandson, Christopher Gray. Carol is survived by sons, Matthew (Dana) and Michael (Mindy) Gray; grandchildren, Shawn Gray, Sara Moran, Samantha Retcher, Rachel Southern, and Emily Seay; great-grandchildren, Parker Gutman, Piper Little, Holden Gray, Hollis Gray, Oliver Moran, Matilda Moran, Elias Retcher, Eleanor Retcher, and Cecilia Seay.

Carol graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She went on to teach at the Columbus Public Schools for 31 years.

She enjoyed antiques and bowling. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a faithful servant of God who spent a good portion of her life taking care of her family and friends.

Visitation Friday, July 24, 2026 from 11am to 12pm at Newcomer, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. Funeral Service will begin at 12pm. Family requests a private burial.
