Carol J. Gillespie, 66, Columbus, passed away Wednesday, May 07, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by her loving friends.
Carol was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 9, 1947, to the late William J and Charlotte (Miller) Gillespie. Carol grew up in the Cincinnati area and the family moved to Columbus in 1960 where she graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1965. Carol obtained a BA in history from the University of Pittsburgh in 1969.
She worked in real estate for several years and because of her love of math, became a loan originator for Union Savings Bank. Carol was active in UAHS class of 1965 and UA Alumni Association.
Carol is survived by her first cousins, David (Janet) Byers-Dent of De Forest, WI and Barbara Jane Dent of Willow Grove, PA and several friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 12, 2014, 5:30 PM at First Community Church (Burkhart Chapel), 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, OH 43212.
