Carol Mayes, 72, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.
Carol was born on June 22, 1945 in Marion, Ohio to Hiram and Mildred (Russell) Mills .
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, David and son, Bryon (Mayes) Stuller.
She is survived by her sons, John Mayes, Sr. and Robert Mayes; daughter-in-law, Suzi Stuller; care giver, Tanya; grandchildren, Mitzi Arick, Bryon C. Stuller, John Mayes, Jr., Matthew Twigg, Michelle (Mayes) Kobach, Joseph M. Fisher, Megan (Twigg) Shoemaker and 15 great-grandchildren.
Carol was owner of MY Towing for 15 years. She retired from NAPA in 2012. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie # 2252.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 12:00 pm also at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, Columbus Northeast Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice in Carol's honor.
