Carol Rule, 81, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully with her beloved cats beside her on Sunday, November 20, 2016. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to Karl and Marguerite (Lang) Meister on April 1, 1935. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Lee Franz; children, Terry Lee Franz, Gary Alan Franz and James Robert Rule and her many beloved pets.
Carol is survived by her husband, Robert Gene Rule; children, Tammy (Michael) Rule-Moser; granddaughter, Regina (Joe) Richter; great-grandchildren, Aaron Rule, Mariah (Jake) Moser, Molly (Chris) Hunter, Chayla-Daisy Moser, Isaac Richter, Rebekah Richter, Jacob Richter, Judah Richter, Levi Richter; much loved foster children; brother, Sonny (Barbara) Meister. Carol will be deeply missed by many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends who are too numerous to name.
Carol retired from Lazarus after 30 plus years of service as a secretary in their offices. She was a life time member of the West Jefferson VFW Post 326. She served as secretary for the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Rainbow Tribe Native American organization and served as an elder minister to prisoners.
A private service will be held at a future time per Carol's wishes.
