Carol Anne (Sonn) Vrancken
Carol was born in Fremont, Ohio and was raised and spent her younger years in Columbus. Carol attended Linden Mckinley High School where she was a member of Phi Lota Lambda Sorority, volleyball, the school dance troupe, and met her future husband Art Vrancken. Carol and Art married in 1963 and moved to Galena in 1971. In Galena they raised 3 children. Carol was active in the schools as a room mother, President of the PTO, and a member of the Athletic boosters. While raising their children and making a loving home, Carol became an accomplished real estate agent in central Ohio.
Carol was devoted to her church, faith and many animals including her horse, chickens, steer and many dogs and cats over the course of her life. An active social life with her family and friends (life long and new) was very important to Carol. She rarely missed an opportunity to attend a school play, dance recital, or one of the many sporting events of her children or grandchildren.
The last years of her life, Carol enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in her home in Florida with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Art Vrancken, sons: Art Vrancken JR.( Sheri) grandchildren Caleb, Audrey and Jacob; Rod Vrancken ( Erin) grandchildren Anna, Julia and Natalie; Todd Vrancken (Faith) grandchildren Austin, Mallory and Samantha. Carol is also survived by her 3 siblings Aggie Rapp of Senecaville, OH, Betty Stewart of Duette, Fl and Richard Sonn II of Columbus, OH.
Friends may call at Genoa Baptist church 7562 Lewis Center Road, Westerville, Ohio on Saturday August 12, 2017 from 1:00pm until time of service at 2:00pm in the afternoon to honor Carol's life.
