Carol Ford Wallen

Carol (Ford) Wallen February 12th, 1934 died August 6th 2025

Born to John and Gladys Ford in Louisville, Kentucky. In June of 1952 Carol married her high school sweetheart Buzz Wallen. They shared an adventurous life with their daughters Terry and Vicki. Carol and Buzz worked for the Worthington City School system. Carol was an executive secretary for four principals, in her free time she was an accomplished seamstress, tennis player, bridge card player and good friend to long time friends Bruce and Carol Emery, and Richard and Barbara Payne.

After sailing with the Angel for many years they retired to Florida and traded the sailboat for a Airstream trailer. They traveled to many rallies with their gang the Wally Byam Airstream group.

In Florida they enjoyed living in the Villages and built or rehabed many houses, one of their passions was making things around them better.

After Buzz passed in 2017 Carol moved to Westerville, Ohio to be near family. Carol cherished her family of six grandchildren and adored her fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Gladys Ford, and sister Shirley Tucker (Ford). Also her husband Buzz, brother-in-law Chy and sister in-law Betty Wallen.

Survivors are Terry (Jeff) Schilthroat, Vicki (Gil) Foeller. Grandchildren Bill (Melissa) Schilthroat, John (Beth) Schilthroat, Sarah McFarlan, Bo Foeller, Casey (London) Foeller and Cassie Burkett.
