Carolyn Jean Skaggs

Carolyn Jean Skaggs, born on October 13, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on August 7, 2025, in Galloway, Ohio. She dedicated 27 years to her career as a payroll administrator for Team Fishel, a job she was extremely proud of, managing to accomplish what took three people to replace.

A graduate of Franklin Heights High School, Carolyn enjoyed playing softball during her school years. She was known for her bossy yet humorous personality; she was the kind of mom that everyone wished they had—always there for her son, Adam Skaggs, through every important event and ready to help him with anything he needed. She was the epitome of headstrong and well-liked, both in her personal life and at work.

Carolyn had a vibrant spirit and cherished staying busy. Her interests included enjoying gambling at local casinos, playing bingo, and collecting M&M memorabilia. She loved spending time with her family, playing games and cards, creating many happy memories.

She is survived by her son, Adam Skaggs; her mother, Sandra Skaggs; sisters, Robin Kane, Becky Brown, and Marilyn Larson; her special niece, Aimee Lumbard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Robert T. Skaggs, and her sister, Sandra Skaggs. 

Her legacy of love, laughter, and determination will always be remembered.
