Carolyn Sue Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio, on November 27, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on December 25, 1961, Carolyn's life was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy is one of love, adventure, and selflessness.

As a seasoned Business Administrator, Carolyn dedicated her talents to several companies, ultimately serving as the Vice President of Shared Services Delivery at Huntington National Bank. Her professional journey was marked by her remarkable work ethic and proactive approach, gaining the admiration and affection of those who worked alongside her.

Education was a crucial aspect of Carolyn's life. She proudly graduated from Northland High School in 1980 and went on to excel academically at The Ohio State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Inspired by her passion for learning, she further pursued her studies, obtaining both a Master of Science in Computer Information Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton. These achievements reflected her adventurous spirit and determination to grow throughout her life.

Carolyn was not only an accomplished professional but also a devoted mother to her two sons, Chris and Andrew. Her proudest accomplishments included raising her boys, traveling the world, and embracing her cherished role as a grandmother to her adored grandson, Phoenix. Carolyn's love for the outdoors and her adventurous nature led her to explore mountains across the globe, with the Grand Tetons holding a special place in her heart. From climbing to Everest Base Camp to hiking in parks with Phoenix, even piloting the Goodyear blimp, she created innumerable memories filled with laughter and joy.

Christmas, especially poignant as Carolyn's birthday, was always a day filled with excitement in the Jones household. Each year, she went above and beyond to make the day special for her family. Her exuberant spirit enriched family vacations, ensuring they were unforgettable occasions filled with love and connection. Carolyn loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and looked forward to watching the football games each week in the fall.

Her personality radiated warmth; she was fun-loving, selfless, and incredibly prepared for life’s adventures. Carolyn had a remarkable ability to bring people together, and her infectious spirit endeared her to friends and family alike.

She enjoyed a deep and loving partnership with her life partner, John Botelho, who shared in her many adventures and dreams. She is remembered fondly by her mother, Geneva Jones; sister, Debbie Garber; nephews, Anthony Garber and Kendall Hardy; and niece, Hannah Garber. The profound impact she had on those around her will forever be celebrated. Carolyn was predeceased by her father, David C. Jones, and her beloved grandparents, whose spirits undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

A visitation honoring Carolyn will take place on December 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast, 3047 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231. This will be followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM at the same location.

Though her physical presence may be gone, Carolyn will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her loved ones. Her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support will forever inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
