Carolyn Elizabeth Webb

Carolyn Elizabeth Webb was born on December 19, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio to Charlie and Kathleen Skeen. Known for her devotion to God, she was a prayer warrior who went to church regardless of how she physically felt. Carolyn loved being in the presence of the Lord and she raised five children to love the Lord also. Carolyn went home to be with our blessed Lord and Savior June 27, 2017, after a courageous fight of many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Kathleen Skeen and her brothers Ernest Myers, Roger Skeen, and Abe Skeen. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Pastor Jerome Webb, her brothers Grove Penley, Charlie Skeen, Kenneth Skeen, Joseph Skeen, Paul Skeen, sisters Catherine Skeen, Rosemary Skeen, her five children Jerome Webb Jr., Angela Webb, Joshua Webb, Carolyn Marie Webb, Carol Ann Powell, 13 grand children, loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, host of friends and her spiritual daughter Trina Hester.

Carolyn received the Lord at an early age, was a faithful member, and served in a plethora of capacities in a number of wonderful churches over her 56 years of dedicated service. Before marriage she attended Greater Emmanuel Church. After the merging of Philadelphia Outreach and Philadelphia First Pentecostal Assembly Church Carolyn continued her faithful journey at Bishop Dalton Y. Butler Philadelphia Outreach for Christ Ministries with her husband Jerome who she lead to Christ years earlier. In recent years she was a member at Imani Christian Church where she served as a daycare center teacher for over 3 years. She was always someone the church could depend on.

Carolyn's favorite Bible passage to read was Psalm 91:1-2, "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

She has touched so many lives with her wisdom, love and devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, N.E., 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. The Home Going service will be held at 11:00am at the Imani Christian Church, 286 Belvedere Ave., Columbus, OH, 43223. Bishop Dalton Butler, Jr. officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
