Carrie (Justice) May, 89, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on November 22, 2020. She was born on July 21, 1931 in Raccoon, Kentucky to Otis and Bessie Justice (Slone). She married Everett May on March 21, 1951 in Pikeville, Kentucky. Carrie's first love was being a homemaker, mother and wife. She had an extensive work career with Industrial Ceramics, Big Drum Corporation and Copco Paper Company. Carrie finished her work life in her favorite job at White Castle Restaurants, serving her regular customers with the same love that she had when cooking for her family, where customers often requested their meal be prepared exclusively by Carrie. She enjoyed family vacations, visiting her sisters and taking girl trips with her Aunt Maudie and cousin Hester to Las Vegas and Branson. As a mother, Carrie attended each and every school recital, concert, play and sporting event for each of her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Douglas Eugene May, sisters Evelyn Spaulding, Helen Dietzel, Mae Blackburn. Carrie is survived by her husband of 69 years, sister Clara Clark of Pontiac, MI, children Karen (Ken) Dillman of Hilliard, Gary (Erica) May of Columbus, Tim (Glenda) May of Wayne, WV, grandchildren Carla (Steven) Driver, Douglas (Tiffany) May, Anthony May, Christopher May, Gary May II, many great grandchildren and other nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
