Catherine C. Mcelroy
February 5, 1943 — December 18, 2015
Catherine Claire (Peel) McElroy, Age 72 of Westerville, passed away on December 18, 2015, peacefully surrounded by her family. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents James A. and Catherine C. (Kibblier) Peel.
Cathy was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church for 30+ years, and owned a daycare in her home for 40 years, helping to mold and raise many, many children. She was an avid sports fan with her favorite teams the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.
Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Gene of 52 years; their 4 daughters, Maureen (John) Braughton, Jr., Sharon (Ernest) Pfeil, Colleen (Alex) Crager, and Erin Green along with 6 grandchildren, Mark & Ross Pfeil, Mason & Megan Crager, and CaroleAnn & James Green.
A Christian Mass will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229 with visitation one hour prior to the service.
