Listen to Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Goodall Talik, who left this world on October 23, 2026, at the age of 82.

Known to many as Cathy, she was a loving mother whose life was defined by strength, creativity and unwavering devotion to her family.

Cathy was especially proud of the successful business she built, Cathy's Miniature Schnauzers, which she operated for more than 30 years. Her love for the breed and dedication to her work were evident throughout her many years as a breeder. A talented and resourceful woman, Cathy even designed and created her own website for the business, combining her creativity with her entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond her work, she enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening, politics, and history. She was also an author, reflecting her many talents and love of learning.

Cathy was also known for her homemade pizzas and chicken and noodles, dishes that brought family and friends together and created memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Above all else, Cathy loved being a mother and was most proud of her six children. Her family was the center of her life and the love she gave them will remain with them always.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Betty, and her brothers, Mark and John.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Mike; her six children, Christy Ruoff (Dale), Jenny Rumler (Neal), Shelley May (Barry), Angie Harkness (Ron), Drew Talik, and Keith Talik (Anna); her grandchildren, Zach, Codey, Erica, Cole, Garrett, Jake, Wil, Lily and Katie; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Goodall (Leah), along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Cathy leaves behind a family who adored her and countless memories that will be cherished for generations to come. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are deeply grateful for the gift of her life, the love she shared and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.

A private Funeral Mass and rosary service will be held for the family.
