Cathy A. Wimer, 68, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Cathy was born on April 2, 1950 in Athens, OH.
Cathy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie Wimer; parents, Donald and Vilma Baker; daughter, Nannette Walter's.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Wimer; daughter, Evette Polei; grandchildren, Matthew, Katelyn and Megan Walter's; sisters, Lee Baker, Molly Jones and Kathleen Brewer; brothers, Bill Baker, Danny Baker and Brian Baker; mother-in-law, Margaret Wimer; brother-in-law, Bill (Jean) Wimer; aunt and uncle, Sarah and Doug Lawrence.
Cathy was a member of DAR, JOBS Daughters, Maple Grove Church, part of Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. She spent most of her time assisting the Dumm and Wimer families.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 3pm to 5pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10am also at Newcomer NE Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cathy's honor to Maple Grove UMC, 7 W. Henderson Rd., Columbus, OH 43214.
