Cecil E. Smith, 68, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Westerville, OH. He was born on June 11, 1948 in Welch, WV to Cecil and Joe Ann (Thompson) Smith.
Cecil is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his children, Cecil E. (Kimberly) Smith Jr., and Cecilia Marie Smith; mother, Joe Ann (Willie J.) Tucker; siblings, Mary Ann Smith, and Willie J. Tucker Jr.; significant other, Marcia Williams; grandchildren, Candice Thacker, Chauncee Smith, and Khailynn Smith; great-grandchildren, Chayce Sumas, and Nola Sumas; a host of nieces and nephews; his furry companion, Riley; and many other loving family members and friends.
Cecil was a decorated Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 25 years before retiring in 1990. After his military retirement, he worked for Chase Bank until his retirement in 2006. He was a family man with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00pm.
