Cecil "Ray" Browning, 81, of Alexandria, OH passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He was born August 1, 1932, in Wharncliffe, WV to William Boyd and Fannie (Harrison) Browning and is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Boyd Browning, Jr, Hubert Browning, and Marion Thomas Browning.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Eastman) Browning; daughters, Teresa Smith and Linda Senter; wife's children, Janis (Matthew) Piatek and Henry (Connie) Davis; brothers, Barry (Carolyn) Browning and Donald Browning; sisters, Emogene Dean, Sally (Jack) Hatfield, Victoria (James) Wellman, Cora Lee(Don) Clark; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Ray was retired from the Borden Company and The Anheuiser Busch Company. He also was a Korean War Veteran with the US Army.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, 11:00 am – 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM. Private family burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alexandria-Saint Albans Twp Fire Department, 25 East Main Street, Alexandria, OH 43001.
