Cecilia Ruth Parthemore

Cecilia Ruth Parthemore, born on October 7, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, in Commercial Point, Ohio. She lived a life marked by independence and strong will, facing challenges with perseverance and always holding her family close to her heart.

Cecilia dedicated much of her career to public service as a Retired Auditor for the State of Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation. Through her professional work, she demonstrated the same strength and determination that characterized her personality.

She enjoyed spending her free time looking for antiques, quilting, cross stitch, and other forms of "hand work." These hobbies reflected her creative spirit and love for making things with care and patience.

Cecilia was especially devoted to her family, cherishing time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughter Karen (Jon) Kirkpatrick and her daughter Victoria (Jenn) Parthemore. Her grandchildren Brian, Tyler, and Emily (Logan) brought her great joy, as did her great-grandchildren Cayden, Maverick, Parker, Killian, Mazie, and Jaydin.

Family connections also include her sister Karen Raab, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who were part of her life’s journey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rita (McKenna) Butt, her sister Sally Llaneza, and her brother David Rushworth.

Cecilia will be remembered for her independent spirit, her steadfast nature, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her and the family she so deeply cherished.
