Chandler Fannin, a devoted family man and talented craftsman, passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on May 20, 1935, in Sandyhook, Kentucky, Chandler spent over 40 years working as a Tool and Die maker for Buckeye Stamping until his well-earned retirement.
Throughout his life, Chandler was a man of God, known for his kind, loving, and caring nature. He enjoyed sharing stories and jokes that could bring a smile to anyone's face. His generous spirit touched the lives of many, and he had a particular passion for music, especially the banjo, which he loved to play. In fact, Chandler was so dedicated to his craft that he made his own banjo, showcasing his creativity and skill. Chandler was also a outdoors man, enjoying fishing, camping, and just being outside in general.
Chandler was also a proud member of his church band, where he found joy in making music with others and contributing to the community that he cherished.
He is survived by his children; Teresa Fulks, Doug Fannin, Kevin Fannin, Kelly Fannin, Tom Fannin, and Brenda Butler; granddaughter Jennifer Walter, his great-grandson, Bobby Bush; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his trusty companions Rosie and Hope who brought him much joy and happiness.
Chandler is preceded in death by his father, Francis Fannin, mother, Goldie May Fannin, wife, Dorothy Fay Fannin, and his four daughters and one son, whose memories will be forever cherished.
