Charles "Chuck" Eugene Schreckengost

Charles "Chuck" Eugene Schreckengost, age 73, passed away at home on Friday, August 28, 2026. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on August 30, 1952 and resided in Grove City most of his adult life. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Joanne Schreckengost; brother, John; brother in law, Charles McPeek; in laws, Carl and Cleo Pickering; and step son, Christopher Swaim. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Pickering); daughter, Rebecca Schreckengost; step children, Brian, Rachel, and Matthew Swaim; grandchildren, Michael Lowe, Jacob Hohla, Billie and Braxton Johns; sisters, Autumn McPeek, Vickie (Jack) Cantrell, and Phyllis (Marty) Fulton; sister in law, Virginia (Carl) Hollingsworth, and several nieces and nephews.

Charles, better known as Chuck, was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army with an honorable discharge. He worked at Crane Plastics as a production engineer for several years and after retirement he enjoyed having breakfast every week with his friends from Crane. Chuck loved to fish, work on puzzles, and cruising around in his 1979 Corvette.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A celebration to honor his life will take place at a later date.
