Charles E. Hiser, age 79, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Kobacker House. He was born in Columbus on April 2, 1937 to the late Charles E. and Nellie E. Hiser.
Charles was a longtime resident of Hilliard. He retired from Diebold, Inc. He was a member of the Oakland Park Conservation Club, the NRA and the Alkire Road Church of Christ. Charles enjoyed traveling, camping, going out to eat and spending time with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline E. Hiser and daughter, Susan E. Hiser. He is survived by his wife, Glenna Hiser; sons, Steve (Denise) Hiser, Michael (Kimberly) Hiser, David (Theresa) Hiser, Terry L. Rector, Paul (Theresa) Rector and Gary (Staci) Rector; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Paula Kolesser and mother-in-law, Ruth Scott.
The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Alkire Road Church of Christ, 2779 Alkire Rd., Grove City, OH. 43123 where the funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 16, 2016. Pastor Mark Bass officiating. Internment will follow at Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles' memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr., Suite 265, Columbus, OH 43231.
