Charles Richard Estep, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 94. Born on April 4, 1931, in Painsville, Kentucky, Charles lived a life characterized by kindness, patience, and deep consideration for those around him.
Throughout his career, Charles made significant contributions in various roles, including his work in catering, and at the Wolf Newspaper Company. He also found joy in landscaping at the prestigious Wigwam Resort, leaving a lasting impact on the beauty of the luxury destination.
Charles was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones. He is survived by his son, Jeff (Alicia) Estep, as well as his beloved sisters, Maxine and Rita. He shared countless moments filled with laughter and love with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and his aunt JoAnn Van Hoose, all who hold dear memories of his gentle spirit.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty, with whom he shared 73 wonderful years. Charles is also mourned by his siblings who have passed on: James, David, Alfred, Freelin, Helen, and Gusta, along with his parents, Charles Richard Estep and Nora Lexi (Phillips).
Charles Richard Estep will be remembered for his loving nature, his unwavering kindness, and the warmth he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, patience, and consideration will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
