Charles Edwin "Charlie" Hinton, of Orient, Ohio, age 90, passed away with his family by his side, Monday January 14, 2019. He was born April 17, 1928 in Darbyville, Ohio to the late Cyrus and Bessie (Furnis) Hinton. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Irene "Renie" (Darst).
He was a member of the Daughters of America along with his wife and a member of the Buckeye Christian Church and former member of the Grove City Church of Christ. He collected antique cars and won several trophies at the car shows. He made friends so easily and was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a very kind and caring man.
He retired from the Jaeger Machine Company after 37 years of service. Charles also owned and operated C. Hinton Home Improvement Company that he started in 1949 and retired in 2010. In addition to his parents and wife he is proceeded in death by siblings: Mary, Bernice, Fred, Walter and Bobby. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Hinton, sons: James E. (Carol) Hinton of Orient, OH, Michael (Bethann) Hinton of Jamestown, KY and David A. (Susan) Hinton of Orient, OH , 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit Thursday January 17, 2019 from 4 pm - 7 pm at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City OH where a funeral service will take place Friday January 18th at 10 am. Burial to directly follow at Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point, OH.
