Charles M. Mitchell Jr.

Charles M. Mitchell, Jr, 61, of Columbus, OH passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Charles was born in Cheverly, MD on April 7, 1952, to Charles M. and Dorothy L. (Dowdy) Mitchell, Sr. and is preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda (Chapin) Mitchell; sons, Jason (Jessica Miller) Mitchell and James (Cynthia Barthelmas) Mitchell; father, Charles M. Mitchell, Sr; sisters, Shirley Eddleman and Catherine (Michael) Hullett; brothers, Mark (Katherine) Mitchell and Don (Maria) Mitchell; grandchildren, Ashley Mitchell, Skylar Mitchell, Ethan Mitchell, Ian Mitchell, Taylor Barthelmas; lifelong friends, Damon Holley, Harold Kitts and Frank Sanford; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many additional friends.

Charles was a meat cutter/manager for over 30 years and was a member of the Maize Road Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, 4:00 PM at Maize Road Baptist Church, 4251 Maize Road, Columbus, OH 43224. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maize Road Baptist Church.
