Charlotte M. Swanson, 83, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Charlotte was born on November 17, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN., but lived most of her life in Chicago, IL.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Eugene R. Swanson; son, Michael Swanson; mother, Marie (Rzemien) Holt; step-father, Walter Holt; sisters, Darlene and Marlys.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Daniel (Bernadette) Swanson, Ellen (Martin) Dolan and Eileen (Brad) Pewitt; grandchildren, Kathleen Elizabeth (Kevin) Fitzgerald, Daniel Patrick (Emily) Swanson, E. Zachary Pewitt, Mark Swanson, Rebecca Swanson, H. Cooper Pewitt, Marty Michael Dolan; great-grandchildren, Margot, Maeve, Daniel Joseph; sister, Deborah (Donald) Overcash; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, quilting, crosswords and old musicals. She was a devoted and sometimes frustrated Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Most of all, Charlotte was all about her family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 is assisting the family.
