Cheryl Elaine Carter, born on December 17, 1964, passed away on April 12, 2026. Her remarkable life was a testament to service, strength, and boundless generosity.
Cheryl proudly dedicated her life to serving her country by enlisting in the United States Army in 1982. Throughout her tenure, she held various roles as Administrative Specialist, Training Specialist, Human Resources Manager, and Recruiter. Her unwavering commitment and support left a lasting impact on those she served alongside. Cheryl retired from the Army in 2012 with immense pride in her contributions.
Though her dreams once included becoming a flight attendant or tour guide, Cheryl’s love for travel led her to explore countless countries during her lifetime. She cherished the connections she made along the way and left an indelible impression on everyone fortunate enough to meet her.
Cheryl was known for her quiet pillar of strength and compassionate spirit. She was the person others turned to in times of need, always offering selfless support and kindness. To those who knew her, she was a steady presence—a daughter, sister, mother, niece, cousin, best friend—and a true source of inspiration.
Her life was a symphony of experiences—filled with highs and lows—that shaped the incredible person she became. While Cheryl’s earthly journey has come to an end, it is comforting to know that she now soars freely with the Lord. Yes, her dreams did come true of taking to the air, but with wings.
May Cheryl Elaine Carter’s memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were touched by her extraordinary life.
