Cheryl A. Welsh
November 21, 1957 – June 28, 2026
Cheryl Ann Welsh (Weaver), age 68, passed away peacefully in Columbus, Ohio, on June 28, 2026. Born in Columbus on November 21, 1957, to the late Phyllis and Robert Weaver, Cheryl was a lifelong resident who left an undeniable mark on the hearts of everyone she met.
Cheryl was best known in the community as the proud owner of The Stop 40 bar in Whitehall. For years, she didn't just run a business; she cultivated a community. To Cheryl, patrons weren't just customers—they were her "bar family." Social, outgoing, and deeply generous, she had a rare gift for seeing the absolute best in people and cared deeply for everyone who walked through her doors.
Above all, Cheryl’s greatest joy was her family. She was a wonderful mother and a deeply proud grandmother who cherished every single moment spent with her grandkids.
She is survived by her loving sons, Josh (Misty) Welsh and John (Hilary) Welsh; her beloved grandchildren, Temperance, Trenton, Joanna, and Owen; and her dear siblings, Peggy Oliver, Jim (Judy) Weaver, Mary Stagg, Janet Davis, and Patty Weaver. She also leaves behind a large, loving network of many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends who will miss her bright energy and warm smile.
