Christine Ann Powers (Reichenbach), Chrissy to her truest friends, lived an amazing life.
She passed away Saturday evening, June 28, 2014, after a lengthy and valiant battle against cancer.
Her spirit is survived by her daughters, Johnna Powers and Carlie Powers; granddaughter, Adriana Paige Powers-Hadley; mother, Martha Reichenbach; sisters, Joan Padula and Nanci Hysell; brother, Gary Reichenbach; Neil A. Williams, and father of her daughters, Bob Powers; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, John H. Reichenbach and nephew, Kurt Platzer.
Chrissy never gave up and battled on through every last minute.
There will be no formal service held at Newcomer.
Instead, 'A celebration of Life' will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 starting at 3:00pm, at the Ruckmoor, 7496 N. High St. Columbus.
Instead of sending plants to be potentially killed by her daughters, Chrissy has requested you help further potential lives in her honor to either the Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct. Hilliard, OH 43026 or to The James, Colon Cancer Research, 660 Ackerman Rd. 6th Floor P.O. Box 183112 Columbus, OH 43218.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
