Christopher Douglas Smith

On July 8, 2025, Christopher Douglas Smith, age 63, went to be with Our Lord and his mom and dad after a long illness. Chris was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, partner, and friend. He spent many years in computer network building and security, and owned his own company for more than 20 years. He was a lover of fantasy computer games and an avid race fan who never missed a televised Indy 500.

 He is preceded in death by his mother, Annie, and his father, Wally, along with his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. 

He is survived by his son, Alex (Jess), his brothers, Mike Smith (Kathy) and Steve Smith (Jan), many nieces and nephews, dear friend, McKenzie Starich, many friends, and his best friend and partner in life, Lisa Stevens. He will be dearly missed. 

Per Chris’s wishes, no services are planned. In Chris’s honor, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or ALS United Ohio.
