Christopher Lee Sickon, affectionately known as Chris, was born on March 3, 1958, and left this world on November 24, 2025. He lived a life full of laughter, love, and dedication, creating cherished memories for his family and friends.
Chris enjoyed a fulfilling career as a construction worker until his retirement. He proudly served as a Marine Vet, embodying the values of service and commitment throughout his life. His humor and generosity made him a beloved figure to all who knew him. He had a knack for making people laugh, and his giving nature shone brightly in his relationships.
Chris had a profound love for his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Maria Magdolna Sickon, with whom he shared 48 wonderful years. He took great pride in his children, daughter Rachel Sickon and son Christopher M Sickon, as well as his granddaughter Cheyanna McCallops and great-grandchildren Persey McCallops, Nina Anisa Wasiela, and Vincent Wasiela. He often reflected on the beautiful life that his wife created and held deep pride for his descendants.
In his free time, Chris loved to play cards, watching movies, and spend quality time with his family. He was also an exceptional cook, creating delicious meals that brought everyone together. He also loved spending time in nature while hunting and fishing. His daughter Rachel fondly remembers their camping trips and the time they spent outdoors together. Rachel was also very proud of her dad.
Chris is survived by his wife, Maria, his children Rachel and Christopher, his sister Anita (Ed) Bishop, his brother John Sickon, his sister Netta Sickon, granddaughter Cheyanna, and great-grandchildren Persey, Nina, and Vincent. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry E Sickon; mother, Margaret Delarre; daughter, Anisa Maria Fitchpatrick; brother, Charles Sickon; and grandson, Ian McCallops.
A private visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest. Chris’s spirit and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
