Clara "Kay" M. (Kaeppner) Shotts , 86, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away March 21, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 22, 1927 to the late George and Emilie (Schober) Kaeppner in Columbus, Ohio. Clara loved to swim; had a passion for animals-especially dogs; enjoyed 50 plus years with her card club friends. She is preceded in death by daughter Valerie Shotts, brothers Albert, George, Alois and Herman Kaeppner, sisters Anne Vincent, Dorothy LaMonda, Alma Beaver, son-in-law Carl Trippett. Surviving family includes, children Maureen R. Shotts, Ilene M Casillas, Stephen J (India) Shotts, Jeanne A Trippett, Christine L (Pat) Mulvain, Michael G. Shotts, grandchildren Carrie Casillas, Natasha Mulvain, Michelle (Rob) Layfield, Cassandra Ebright and Erin (Todd) May, 9 great grandchildren, brothers Joseph (Joleen) Kaeppner and Andrew (Bernie) Kaeppner.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 1pm until time of service at 3pm.
