After an extended illness, Clarence Brady Casteel, age 73, passed away quietly into the arms of his Savior on June 8, 2018. Known to family and friends as Brady, he was born on May 19, 1945 in Parkersburg, WV to Clarence Brady Casteel Sr. and Mary Beryl Dixon Casteel.
Brady graduated from Central High School. He served in the United States Army as an artillery mechanic until his time of service was cut short by a serious injury. He was given an honorary discharge in 1967. Brady had a strong will to overcome difficulties and a strong work ethic. He had a long career in HVAC. His most important life event was when he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He loved using his work skills to help and serve others, and did so until he was no longer physically able. Brady was predeceased by both parents, wife, Vickie Daniell Casteel, brothers, Butch and Ed.
He is survived by his wife, Patty, three daughters, Dawn (Millard) Draudt, Sharon (Ryan) Miller, Jeannette (Doug) Keiter, son, Scott, step-daughter, Tamara, step-son, Michael (Lindsay) Davis, two brothers, Larry and Dick, two sisters, Betty (Bobby) Noble, Bonnie (Rick) Phelps, eight grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing will be held from 6-8pm, Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am, Monday, June 11, 2018 at Briggs Road Baptist Church, 3231 Briggs Road, Columbus, OH with Pastor Ray Umphrey officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
