Clarence Kelly Nesmith, 90, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025. He was born January 4, 1935 in Townley, Alabama to the late Clarence and Sallie Nesmith. In addition to his parents, Kelly was preceded in death by his three sisters, Gaynell, Linda, and Barbara; and son, Timothy Nesmith. He is survived by children, David Nesmith, Donna Connelly, and Amy Mayer; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kelly served in the United States Army from 1953-1956. He then drew blueprints for Rockwell International and retired after many years as a truck driver. Kelly enjoyed sporting clays and skeet, as well as target shooting. He loved getting together with friends at Jack's Family Restaurant in Jasper, Alabama. He could sit on the porch for hours watching birds and relaxing. Kelly was an excellent woodworker and all-around handyman who was always working on many projects.
Memorial Gathering Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 1pm until the time of Memorial Service at 2pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
Inurnment to take place at a later date at Pocahontas Freewill Baptist Cemetery in Carbon Hill, Alabama.
