Clemevest Anderson

Clemevest "Tootsie" Anderson, 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Clemevest was born in Oak Hill, Ohio, to Irvin and Lovena (Jackson) Ford.

Clemevest is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Kenneth Carl Cobb II; siblings Mary Logan, Alice Mullins, Robert Ford, Timothy Ford, Clarissa Ford Tayim, Lenora Ford, Steven Ford, Lowell Ford, Errol Ford, and her husband Carlan Anderson of 41 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Michael) Greenhoward, and son Carl Michael Anderson; siblings Dorothy Smith, Joyce Anderson, and Rev. Roger (Crystal) Ford, 3 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

After getting her degree in nursing, "Andy," as her nursing family called her, worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital as an LPN for 46 years. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, located at 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Clemevest will be laid to rest beside her husband at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio, 43213.

Clemevest loved her family and friends unconditionally and was always there to help, if needed. She will be truly missed.
