Beum-Thomas (Galilei)
Connie M. Beum-Thomas, age 90, of Columbus, Ohio, died on February 13, 2017. Retired from State of Ohio Attorney General's office. Former employee of the Ohio Democratic Party and the Columbus-Franklin County AFL-CIO Council. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Jennie Galilei, brother Jerry Galilei, brother Anthony and sister-in-law Sofia Galilei, sister Rose and brother-in-law Louis DiPaulo, and late husband Robert F. Beum. Survived by husband William A. Thomas; sons Frank R. (Jan) Beum of Suwanee, GA and John M. (Kris) Beum of Oakland, FL; step-son Robert L. (Marynel) Beum of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; grandchildren Michael (Lisa) , Ethan (Shelby), Nathaniel, Sarah (fiancé Alex Schmidt), Elizabeth, and Tony Beum; great grandchild Hunter; step-grandchildren Valerie Smith, Elaine Smith, and Paul Vernon Beum; sisters Mary Lou (Carroll) Miller and Betty Jo (Danny) LaPenna, and brothers Frank (Virginia) Galilei and William (Georgia) Galilei; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 17, at Newcomers Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthias Church, 1582 Ferris Rd, Columbus, OH at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 18, Reverend Raymond Larussa officiating.
Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad Street, Columbus OH.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the St. Matthias Building Fund.
