Connie went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior on July 21, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marcella Chambers and son, Eric. She is survived by her husband Carl, son Tim, sister Nancy Strittholt, brother Mark Chambers and many extended family and friends.
Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1952 on her father’s birthday, she graduated from Whetstone High School and later obtained her bachelors degree from OSU School of Natural Resources. She met her husband of 48 years when both were volunteers with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks.
Connie enjoyed reading, word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, watching birds, cross stitch and the companionship of her dogs & cats.
Connie was an avid birder, keeping a list of all of the birds she saw each day as well as what feeders they visited in the yard. She especially enjoyed annual spring trips to the Lake Erie shore and Magee Marsh to observe the migration of the song birds with special emphasis on the warblers.
She read many books of various topics but the majority were Christian fiction or inspirational suspense novels.
Connie was a member of Buckeye Christian Church for over 25 years.
