Dale Gallaugher
August 5, 1937 — February 4, 2015
Dale Lowell Gallaugher, 77, of Gahanna, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. Ann's.
He was born August 5, 1937 in the home his father built in Warrensville, OH, son of the late Art Gallaugher and Kathryn Gallaugher Blackburn.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald and Thomas Gallaugher.
He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended Ohio University.
Dale served in the Air Force Reserves and was mobilized for the Cuban missile crisis.
He was a longtime member of Stonybrook UMC.
Dale served on the Gahanna City Council until taking a position as a sales tax auditor for the State of Ohio until his retirement in 2000.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Lu Pinto Gallaugher; sons, Chris (Dianne), Scott (Connie) and Craig (Barbara) Gallaugher; grandchildren, Lindsay, Julie and Owen Dale Gallaugher; sisters-in-law, Carol and Nikki; nieces, Susan, Kelly and Beth Ann; nephew, Greg; beloved cats, Calli and Molly.
Memorial service will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Stonybrook United Methodist Church 485 Cherry Bottom Road Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
A private interment will be in Mifflin Township Cemetery.
