Daniel G. Ely
April 11, 1946 — August 15, 2013
Daniel G. Ely, 67, Columbus, OH passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013. Daniel was born in Kittanning, PA to William G. and Grace E. (Painter) Ely and is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Ely.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Yunette (Baker) Ely; son, Daniel (Peajai) Ely II; brothers, Richard (Debbie) Ely and John (Terri) Ely; grandchildren, Shaylyn, Chantel and Daniele Ely; nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Danny was a member of the Linden Lutheran Church, retired from Sanese Services after over 30 years and was a member of Masonic Linden Lodge # 637 for over 40 years. Danny was a life-long "Pittsburgh Steelers" fan.
Danny leaves behind his beloved animals,new puppy Maui III, Lady Girl and Titi who loved him so very much, a host of wonderful neighbors, his church family at Linden Lutheran Church and all his friends and loving children of Indian Springs Elementary. Danny loved being at Indian Springs and loved the staff, children and PTA. Thank you for loving him back.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, 4-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family by calling 614-406-6966.
