Daniel Joseph Collins, November 13, 1944 to June 21, 2016, passed away after a short illness.
Preceded in death, parents Betsy (Lamneck) and James Collins.
Survived by wife Karen McFarland Collins, children James (Nissa) Collins, John Collins, Jill (Jacob) Spillman, brother Jeffrey (Bettie) Collins and step-children, aunt Norma (Tom) Arteno, sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Jerry Evans, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Daniel attended Manchester Schools and graduated in 1962, he then attended Kent State University. He served in the U.S Army from 1967 to 1969 at both Ft. Rucker, AL and Vietnam. He was an avid Ohio State fan and home body. He loved gardening and grew the most beautiful flowers and tomatoes. Dan was a man of few words but was extremely smart, wise and witty.
Military Honors will be held at 10am July 17th at the Johnstown American Legion, 44 S. Main St., Johnstown, OH.
Luncheon to follow at 8100 Winter Hill Court, Westerville, OH 43081.
