He was born in Columbus, OH on January 28, 1981 to Timothy E. and Iris McCoy.
Daniel served two tours in the United States Marine Corps Infantry in the Afghanistan conflict.
Surviving family includes parents, sisters, Julie Bizahaloni, Leeann (Jeremy) Reckner, brother, Steven (Anna) McCoy, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be directed to the Pelatonia care of the James Cancer Hospital.
