David William Byers

David William Byers, born on February 27, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Columbus on April 28, 2026. He was a dedicated and faithful individual whose life was marked by his commitment to service within his community.

David devoted much of his professional career working as a Security Guard at Mt. Carmel Hospital, where he was known for his vigilance and care in ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors alike. Following this, he extended his dedication to public safety by serving as an Auxiliary Officer for the West Jefferson Police Department. Through these roles, David demonstrated his steadfast resolve and deep sense of responsibility, qualities that earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community members.

Born and raised in Columbus, David remained deeply connected to his hometown throughout his life. He is survived by his loving sisters, Mary Jane Byers and Linda S. Boerstler, who, along with many other family members and friends, will carry his memory forward with great affection and respect. His family remembers him as a steadfast presence and a person of quiet strength.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus William Byers and Ada L. (Ebright) Byers, whose legacy he upheld through his own life of service and dedication.

David William Byers leaves behind a lasting impact on the lives of those he touched. His commitment to the safety and well-being of others, combined with his humble and steadfast character, serves as a testament to the man he was. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
