David Curtis Davis was born on January 16,1946 and lost his battle with cancer on December 2, 2025, at the age of 79. David lived a full life.
He never met a stranger, and he gave unconditionally to his friends and neighbors. He would pay a person’s grocery bill while in line at Kroger’s as an act of paying it forward. He showed care toward his neighbors often buying food items to give to them. David was an avid motorcyclist traveling throughout the United States. He loved woodworking, bird watching, collecting coins and reading. He often talked fondly about his dog, Tootsie and how he had been his best friend. He enjoyed weekly visits with therapy dogs, Mocha and Kahlua. Mocha and Kahlua loved their “Uncle Dave” and he showed them the same in return. David had a life well lived!
David was employed at Scioto Juvenile Correctional Facility until its closing in 2014. David leaves behind a son, Jefferson Davis and a beloved cousin Debbie (Davis) Bricknell (Jim) of Circleville Ohio. Special thanks to White Crane Counseling and VITAS Healthcare Hospice Care for providing their support for the family .
In respect for David’s wishes no funeral services will be held.
