David Earl Thompson

David Earl Thompson, 68, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2014 in Columbus, OH. He was born on May 7, 1946 in Columbus, OH to David and Eunice (Metz) Thompson.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly (John) Whitesed, granddaughter, Brealynn Whitesed; sisters, Ellen Jean Wolf and Anna Marie Earleywine; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
David was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Westerville. He enjoyed music, especially Bluegrass and Country, and played the guitar in his spare time. David loved classic cars, and collected several over the years. He lived his life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by funeral services at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
