David "Dave" R. Flowers Sr., passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the Embassy of Woodview in Columbus, Ohio. Born on February 7, 1949, in Columbus, Dave's life was marked by dedication, skill, and a deep love for his craft.

A proud graduate of the Class of 1968 at Franklin Heights High School, Dave further honed his talents at an Auto Body trade school. His professional journey was distinguished by many years as an autobody repairman and painter, where he expressed his passion for rebuilding and painting cars with exceptional craftsmanship. He retired from Frito Lay and also made significant contributions as an employee of Ohio Auto Color, delivering paint to numerous autobody shops, leaving a mark on countless vehicles and colleagues alike.

Beyond his work, Dave found joy in engaging in pastimes that connected him with family and friends. He cherished golfing outings with his brothers and companions, and he was a familiar, beloved presence at local gathering spots such as the Westland Grill, Big Nickel, Candle Stick, and Fat Baxters. A devoted sports fan, Dave eagerly supported the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes, sharing in the excitement of their games with heartfelt enthusiasm.

Dave is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tammy (Morris) Flowers; his children, David (Shannon) Flowers, Pam (Billy) Remali, Tonya (Brett) Tittle, and Dodi (Glenn) Cassidy; and his cherished brothers, Mark (Becky), Mike (Pam), and Pete (Karen) Flowers. He also leaves behind sisters Pam Scott, Linda (John) Harter, Kim Prince, Roberta Parratt, and Wanda Parrott. His surviving family also extends to his grandchildren Keisha Braun, Cassie Remali, Chelsea Remali, Brett Flowers, Zack Tigner, Harley Tigner, Glenn Cassidy, Gavin Cassidy, and Delcina Cassidy, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends, "Peanut" Carl Whitmer, Doug Patton, Mike and Terry Toner, Tommy and Judy Darnaby, and Candi and Will Braun, who will carry forward his memory.

Dave was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Flowers; his parents, Bob and Alice (Smith) Flowers; and his brother, Phillip Flowers.

Per Dave and the family's request, no services will be held at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Homes - Southwest Chapel; 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
