David H. Powers, 86 of Grove City, passed away on September 14, 2013 at the Hoover Haus. Born on August 7, 1927 to the late Joseph and Mary (Stevenson) Powers in Albany, NY.
David was an avid Buckeye Fan who didn't know a stranger. He was a proud graduate of Willis High School in Delaware and valued his longtime friendship with many classmates.
Survived by his daughter Tracey (Keith) Larsen, son Jeffrey Powers, grandchildren Katherine Larsen and Kevin Larsen, brothers Richard Powers, James Powers, daughter-in-law Ellen Powers, many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by wife Shirley (VanMeter) Powers, son Steven Powers, and sister-in-law June Powers.
Special thanks to the staff at the Hoover Haus who treated him like family, Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care in his final days, and the many friends who regularly visited him.
Private services will be held at a later date.
