David Robert Rike, 67, of Columbus, went home to be welcomed into Heaven February 12, 2019.
David was born November 20, 1951 to Richard and Rita (Hensel) Rike.
He proudly served for the United States Army Reserves for 6 years. David was a member, Elder and Sunday School Teacher of Christ Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed history, the outdoors, especially deer, building models and loved Mustangs and the Air Force Museum. David had a very strong faith in his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
He was married to Susan (Clyde) for 45 years.
David will be deeply missed by his wife; children Joann (Ryan) Murnane, Jillian (Perry) Jooss; grandchildren Kyle, Nathan, Abiel, Grant, Natalie; sister Carol Farley sister-in-law Sharrel Goodin along with many other family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20 from 10am to 11am at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus.
Funeral services will follow at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Pamela Patterson officiating.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, where military rites will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church or to the Columbus Metro Parks.
