David A. Spangler

David A. Spangler, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Columbus, OH. David was born on September 30, 1946 in Columbus to Luther and Martha Spangler.
David is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Bates; nephews, Brent and Bruce Krems; and brother-in-law, Ronald Krems.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Jane; brother, Donald (Donna) Spangler; sisters, Martha (Carl) Kroener and Doris Krems; brother-in-law, Charles (Lee) Eichensehr; 10 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
David retired from Reynoldsburg City Schools Transportation Department in 2012. Between having been employed by Columbus City Schools and then Reynoldsburg, he served as a school bus driver for 35 years and loved watching students progress through school and had a great rapport with them.
He graduated from West High School class of 1964. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University in 1968.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Living Waters Church, 609 W. Columbus St. Pickerington, OH 43147. Please place all messages of condolence at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
