Deborah “Debbie” Frazier, 75, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on June 20, 1951, in Batesville, Indiana.
Debbie was the beloved wife of Louis Frazier, with whom she shared the last 20 years of her life. Their time together was filled with love, companionship, laughter, and cherished memories.
Debbie was a strong and courageous woman who faced life’s challenges with remarkable resilience, a wonderful sense of humor, and an abundance of love. Above all else, she was devoted to her family. Her children were her greatest source of pride and joy: Robert (Rochelle) Simpson, Chris Barr (Rachel McNeil), Cheri Barr, Ericka Barr, Cathy Frazier, Denise Frazier and Billie Jo (Eric) Kinstler
She was a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren: Chrissy Simpson, Garrett Simpson, Cohen Barr, Elijah Barr, Megan Kinstler, Meredith Kinstler, Talor Hardware, and Xavier Hardware. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Cameron Simpson and Cole Hernandez.
Debbie is survived by her siblings, Janice (Ron) Derenski, Tammy Sherry, Donna Slagle, and Russell (Terry) Slagle, as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty (John) Wilson and Mark Slagle, and her brother, Danny Slagle.
Debbie’s greatest joy was being surrounded by the people she loved. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family and was especially proud to watch her grandsons participate in sports, enthusiastically cheering them on from the sidelines. She believed in the importance of family, laughter, and making memories together.
Outside of her time with family, Debbie enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had a warm, caring spirit that made those around her feel loved and welcomed.
Debbie will be remembered for her strength, generosity, humor, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence brought comfort and happiness to those fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will remain a treasured part of the lives she touched.
Though she will be deeply missed, Debbie’s love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and all those who were blessed to know her. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain in their hearts forever.
