Deborah K. Shore (Hazlett) peacefully passed away at her residence on May 29, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on December 1, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, Deb graced the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, joy and unwavering love and dedication to family and friends.
Deb was delighted in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the sun, water and a drink during beach vacations or cruises and trying her luck at that ever hopeful slot machine. She was raised in the Holly Hill area attending Columbus City Schools (West High School, Central High School). She raised her family in the Westland area developing life long friends and relationships throughout the years. She was devoted to her family and demonstrated true love in the care and support of her parents in their latter years. She was employed at Instantwhip and retired from Discover Financial Services after 30 years of dedicated service. She spent her retirement years staying connected with loved ones, offering a listening ear, trying new recipes, learning new crafts and sharing ideas and suggestions for that next great get together. Deb kept a pulse on new happenings around town for a fun gathering. Most dear to her heart was supporting her grandchildren in all their various activities, cheering them on in her own unique way with pride and affection - gifting them with her unconditional love and devotion, identical to the way she loved and raised her children.
Deb’s life was deeply intertwined with those she loved. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 56 years, Mark P. Shore; her children, Troy (Christina) Shore and Tawnya (Kaylee) Miceli; and her cherished grandchildren, Karleigh Piper, Jaxson Miceli, Curtiss Shore, and Cali Miceli. Her presence and legacy is further carried on by several great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her brother, John “Pete” Hazlett. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ross and Shirley (Gates) Hazlett.
